OHRM Leadership Forum

In 2010, the Office of Human Resource Management inaugurated the OHRM Leadership Forum, a one-day professional development conference designed to highlight the importance of leadership excellence at the University.  The theme of this inaugural event was “Leading the Next Generation – The Future of Leadership at CUNY.”  Fifty-two managerial employees from the colleges and the Central Office attended.  Activities included a morning address by a Senior Executive University Vice Chancellor, a leadership panel consisting of two University Vice Chancellors, a college President, and two college Vice Presidents, three professional competency sessions, and an interactive presentation by a college President.

The 2011 Leadership Forum was designed specifically to support professional employees in “BARFIT” enrollment management offices who served in Higher Education Associate, Higher Education Assistant, and Classified Staff Managerial titles.  The theme of this learning event was “Transformational Leadership: Serving the Students of Tomorrow.”  In addition to the fifty-one program participants from across the University, twelve executives and senior staff members from the colleges and the Central Office supported the program as speakers, panelists, and moderators.
