Mission
The primary mission of the Office of International Students and Scholars Services is to oversee and coordinate critical support services that directly affect the welfare of students enrolled throughout the University system. The provision of high quality support services, an integral part of the students' education process, enhances their learning environment while pursuing their academic goals. The University currently enrolls over 11,000 international students in F-1 and J-1 status, and this office strives to support this student population by providing centralized immigration information pertinent to their status, and cultural adjustment and smooth transition into the American higher education system. The Office seeks to assist institutions' international community on various matters of concern and serves as a referral source to other University offices, campuses, and academic departments.
