JAY HERSHENSON is the Secretary of the Board of Trustees and VC for University Relations at CUNY. His portfolio includes the development and implementation of CUNY's governmental, media and community relations, and the administration of the Board of Trustees' agenda. He has made a lifelong commitment to education and, in particular, to the use of higher education to positively transform lives. He created the Emmy nominated television series, "Study with the Best", and has developed CUNY-TV into an Emmy Award-winning television station. He graduated from Queens College.

WARREN LUSTIG is the senior editor of CBS News "60 Minutes." His career with CBS News started in 1982. It includes seven years as editor of "The CBS Evening News With Dan Rather," which took him around the world covering events such as Operation Desert Storm, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the student uprising in Tiananmen Square. He spent several years at CBS Sports, where he edited and produced segments, many with Charles Kuralt, at the Winter Olympics in Albertville, France; Lillehammer, Norway; and Nagano, Japan. He has won 11 Emmy Awards for his work. Lustig holds a BA degree from Brooklyn College.

Warren Lustig

MICHAEL ARENA, University Director of Communications and Marketing at CUNY, is responsible for planning and implementation of the University's media, public information and marketing efforts. Prior to joining the University, he was an award-winning special writer and investigative reporter in a career that spanned more than 20 years at Newsday and NY Newsday. He was nominated for Pulitzer Prize in 1987 and shared a Pulitzer Prize in 1997 for spot reporting on the downing of TWA Flight 800. He graduated from City College.
